In recent surveys, seniors reported transportation as one of their greatest needs. S.T.A.R.S. (Seniors Transporting At Risk Seniors) is key to the well-being of many seniors who can no longer drive or cannot afford or tolerate public transportation.
S.T.A.R.S. are active seniors who provide friendly transportation to medical appointments, pharmacy, grocery shopping, essential errands, and other vital services that help at-risk seniors remain independent. Senior Volunteers willing to serve are provided with additional automobile liability insurance.
Hours are flexible. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact Jocelyne Fliger at (850) 921-5554 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
